- If I place my child for adoption, what involvement do I have in choosing the family?
- You can pick the family, and if they are open to a meeting, you can meet them prior to placement.
- What kind of counseling does your pregnancy program offer?
- Support and direction in helping you make a healthy decision regarding the pregnancy to raise your child or place for adoption.
- Is there a fee for this program?
- No.
- Where can I go for diapers, formula, baby items?
- Catholic Charities offers these items from the agency’s baby closet in all Catholic Charities agency offices.
- Can my boyfriend/husband be part of the counseling process in reaching a decision about my pregnancy?
- Yes, it would be beneficial to both of you and the expected child for all to participate. He does have to cooperate, especially if looking at adoption. His parental rights need to be terminated as well.
- If I call the 24-hour pregnancy hotline, will I talk to a professional therapist?
- Yes.
