Salt and Light awardees praised for showing Christ's love to people in need
The recipients of the 2015 Communities of Salt and Light Awards were congratulated by Bishop Lawrence E. Brandt for demonstrating the "visible love of Christ by the way they have lived their lives."
Bishop Brandt presented the Salt and Light Awards to Nicholas Kolb, St. Thomas More University Parish, Indiana, for humanitarianism; Charles Fischer, St. John the Baptist Parish, Scottdale, for philanthropy; and the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Joseph Parish, New Kensington, as the outstanding human service organization at the 17th annual dinner April 23 at Stratigos Banquet Center, North Huntingdon.
